Prenatal Institute was founded as a training program to help support expecting mothers have healthier and more positive prenatal experiences. The Mission of Prenatal Institute is to provide equipping and training services to doulas and other reproductive educators to support and education women and families from conception through birth.
There are currently six types of certifications. Three of these fall under the category of a doula, and the other three fall under the category of an educator. The three doula certification options include the following:
- Certified Fertility Doula™ (CFD)
- Certified Prenatal Doula™ (CPD)
- Certified Reproductive Doula™ (CRD)

Prenatal Institute believes that doulas provide a commitment of care and support that supersedes education alone. Women and families who are trying to conceive and grow their families are presented with a plethora of information online that often leaves people confused or misinformed. Doulas help women navigate the information and evaluate health and lifestyle options to pursue the healthiest pregnancy possible.
